Custom MCP Connector Development for ChatGPT and Claude

Instead of logging into the admin panel, filling out forms and copying data, you simply tell ChatGPT or Claude — "publish an article about the new service", "show today's orders", "update the stock" — and it all happens on its own.

This is possible thanks to MCP connectors, and I build them for your project. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard from Anthropic that has become the common "language" between AI assistants and external systems. It is already supported by Claude, ChatGPT in developer mode, Claude Code and dozens of other tools.

How it works

An MCP connector is a small server that lives next to your site and "explains" to the AI which actions it can perform. It comes down to three steps:

1. Catalog of actions. The server publishes a list of tools — "create an article", "find an order", "change a price" — with a description of the data needed.
2. Understanding the task. You write in plain words, and the AI picks the right tool and fills in the parameters.
3. Safe execution. Before changing data, the assistant shows what it is about to do and waits for your confirmation.

You don't need to learn commands or APIs — describing the task in words is enough.

What the service includes

Analytics. You ask a question about sales in plain language and instantly get an answer from your database.

Which AI it works with

The ready connector plugs into all major clients that support MCP:

• Claude and claude.ai — as a user connector;
• ChatGPT — in Developer Mode;
• Claude Code and other developer tools.

The server is deployed on your own infrastructure, so the data stays under your control and is not sent anywhere except the assistant you choose.

Technology and approach

I work with Laravel and PHP projects, as well as other stacks. I use official tools and open MCP standards, with authorization via Laravel Passport (OAuth 2.1) or Sanctum tokens.

The code is written to fit your existing architecture — without rewriting the project from scratch. The connector reuses the site's existing logic, so implementation is fast and safe.
